By far one of the biggest and most hyped movie releases is none other than the silver screen adaptation of Nintendo’s legendary classic franchise, Super Mario Bros. Fans of all ages are eagerly waiting for its release. However, the frequent changes in the release date have left many in disarray. 

Last year, Nintendo announced the Movie adaption of the beloved franchise in one of their ‘Nintendo Directs’. Although the fans were very hyped by the announcement, there was a lot of criticism and concerns, due to the ‘unfaithful’ choices in the cast. Many fans believed the American actors won’t be able to give Mario his signature, ‘Italian’ touch. 

Another big change in the Super Mario Bros Movie release 

Nintendo is all set to release the Mario movie on the global market. However, the Japanese Juggernaut is very much aware that one of the biggest and most profitable markets will be the North American screens. That is why the studio has decided to change the US release date of the movie.

Initially, the Movie was set for release on April 7th of 2023, in the USA. Which was already earlier than many other nations. However, in a recent update, Nintendo announced the movie will be releasing on April 5th instead, in the US and 60 other markets. Nintendo’s home country Japan will receive the movie on April 28th.

The movie will be hitting every market by the end of May. The movie will feature, Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princes Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and many more. The Movie is produced by Universal Studios. 

The Fans celebrated while being a little confused

Though most of the fans admired the new release being earlier than the initial one, the frequent changes in the dates have left a lot of fans in utter confusion. On Twitter, fans expressed their thought on the latest change and also shared how much they are looking forward to the movie. 

In a recent leak, the runtime of the movie was revealed. It is expected that the movie will be 1 hour and 32 minutes long. Which is the average runtime most animated movies have, such as Despicable Me 2, Hotel Transylvania, and many more.
