To date, the Japanese giant has created multiple sub-franchises under the Mario series, showcasing the character in different worlds. One of them is portrayed as a racer in the Mario Kart Series. And it looks like Mario Kart Tour is getting one of its biggest updates as its developer has confirmed the news.

Nintendo launches massive update for Mario Kart Tour alongside DeNA

After years of anticipation, Mario Kart Tour fans have finally rung the bells of joy as the franchise announced one of its biggest updates. Alongside developer DeNA, the company promised the addition of a much-anticipated mode, understanding how patient the community had been.

So, they promised a Battle Mode to the game, an update that none of the fans saw coming. Nintendo confirmed the introduction of two fresh courses for the Battle Mode alongside GBA Battle Course 1 and GCN Cookie Land. The Japanese giant will inaugurate the new tour on October 4, 2022, at 11 pm PT / October 5 at 8 am CET.

Nintendolife, a dedicated fan page, backed the news, as they too were excited about this massive update. Apart from the Battle mode, fans will also get access to a fresh in-game cosmetic for their Mii characters as part of the ‘Wave 16’ drop. A funky Green racing suit will get added to every fan’s library, allowing them to use it in the upcoming update.
