Konami Pull Metal Gear Solid Games Days After eFootball Disaster

Konami has been the center of online discussion for all the wrong reasons, what with the badly-received release of eFootball. The game has extremely clunky graphics. With the apparent lack of any realism whatsoever, players have ‘credited’ Konami for creating ‘the worst football game ever.’ It looks like Konami is still not out of hot water just yet. Two of its major titles of one of its most iconic series have been removed from stores.

Removal of Konami’s titles
Konami made a blog post to inform players and fans about the recent development. They said that they would be pulling down the game from e-stores in order to renew the licenses for archived historical footage. The publisher-cum-developer called upon the players to be patient and thanked them for the support this definitive series has received.
It seems quite unusual that a juggernaut of a studio like Konami had to suspend the sales of its titles over just a licensing issue, some people seem to think.

There seems to be no official word as to when the titles will be back on the store. There is also no confirmation that the titles will indeed be back, with the footage or without the footage. With the already existing bad press with Konami’s eFootball, all of this isn’t good news for the company.
