A shocking reveal from a tweet uploaded by Kratos’ voice actor Christopher Judge says that the actor had almost quit God of War: Ragnarok over a massive change. The massive change, in this case, was that the God of War (2018) director Cory Barlog wasn’t directing the sequel to the series. This change might not have sat right with the actor. However, he did change his mind later.

God of War: Ragnarok Kratos’s Voice actor reveals startling facts ahead of the game’s release

Christopher Judge has remained the lead voice actor for Kratos in the God of War Franchise since it was announced in 2016. Fans have shown immense love and adoration for the character of Kratos and Judge’s voice. Judge revealed that Ragnarok was delayed because he had to go through surgeries in fall 2019. Furthermore, owing to the pandemic, there had been several setbacks and delays on the development side which compromised their safety as well. Judge acknowledged all of these reasons in a tweet that he posted.

Furthermore, Christopher Judge was almost about to quit God of War: Ragnarok, as Cory Barlog was not directing the series anymore. Barlog informed Judge about this change in the Tribeca festival. This did not seem to go well with Christopher Judge, who he was on the verge of quitting. Eric Williams returned as the director for Ragnarok and Barlog took up the role as a producer with Sony Santa Monica. Judge was convinced by Barlog to remain part of the God of War team, which he recently revealed through a Tweet.

God of War: Ragnarok, after several setbacks and delays, was finally revealed in the PlayStation Showcase this September and will be releasing sometime in the early months of 2022. Fans are very excited to see Kratos back with the sequel.
