British YouTube star KSI can be called the creative mind behind the entire celebrity boxing scenario on the platform. He was the first one alongside Logan Paul to introduce the concept of misfits fighting each other for the name and the fame.

As his brother Deji is about to fight the 50-0 legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., KSI claims that the Misfits boxing is not about winning but more about knowing the opponent. But the question arises, is it a low-key effort to save his brother, or is he actually all about the “fight to know” theory?

KSI and his take on Misfits boxing

In a recent tweet by the YouTube boxer KSI, he said that he doesn’t think of losing in a Misfits boxing match as the end, but rather investing in a fight. Giving his brother Deji’s example, he also said that he lost three matches in a row, but winning only one match boosted his confidence enough to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.

He wrote, “What I love about misfits boxing the most is that even if you lose, it’s not over for you. Look at my bro. My man lost 3 times in a row. Wins once and is now on top of the world with an opportunity to fight one of the GOATS of boxing, Floyd Mayweather. Same with gib etc.”

Continuing his thought further, he wrote, “With misfits, it’s not all about the record, it’s about being invested in each fighter. Understanding their story and getting excited with the best fighting the best. And being entertained throughout.”

What can be his reason behind this statement?

The most relatable answer can be to save his brother’s boxing career from sudden death. As it is well known that Deji is not a professional boxer and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a dangerous opponent, it is obvious that the YouTuber has a very low chance of winning against the boxing legend.

Therefore, it is safe to say that KSI might be trying to save his younger brother’s reputation by saying the same. It is also possible that all the abovementioned speculations are absolutely wrong and that KSI is actually all about fighting for the spirit of it. And which in this case looks most likely, it is a safe bet to say that he is extremely genuine about his take.
