And now comes a newly leaked report, from a trusted industry insider. According to the scooper, next week will reportedly witness a playtest for 2022’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is having a playtest!
Since the beginning of this year, there have been several strong details coming out based on the upcoming entry in the first-person shooter franchise. However, Activision hasn’t offered any new update so far except for the official reveal of Modern Warfare 2.
But there are some reliable individuals who manage to have a solid intel, no matter what. One such insider is RalphsValve, on Twitter, who recently shared massive news regarding Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
In one of their newest tweets, Ralph reported that next week there will be a playtest for Modern Warfare 2. And several reliable residents and influencers have been provided with invite tokens for the same.
It’s true — reliable SoCal residents and influencers are being given invite tokens to play test Modern Warfare II next week.

If it turns out true, this leak also implies that a trailer reveal is near. Activision and Infinity Ward might drop the first teaser in the coming weeks, or even days!

As for the game itself, the next Call of Duty is the direct sequel Verified (Pritam)to 2019’s blockbuster Modern Warfare, which was a reboot in its own series. Infinity Ward has been the developer on all the MW-labeled installments.
Meanwhile, fans also expressed their anticipation on social media as soon as the latest report was shared. Many of them wished to get some gameplay leaks soon in case the playtest is happening next week.
