Latest FIFA 23 Rumors Hints at an Early Men’s World Cup Mode for PS5

The biggest soccer festival, the FIFA World Cup 2022, is only a month away. There is already a lot of hype around the tournament. But amidst this World Cup excitement, rumors emerged about Electronic Arts leaking a special FIFA 23 mode for PlayStation 5 users.

FIFA 23 is the latest installment in the famous FIFA series by Electronic Arts. The game made many headlines as it is the last EA soccer game to be called FIFA. Because the long partnership between the video game company and the International Federation of Association Football ended after the latest title.

EA leaked a FIFA 23 World Cup Mode on PS5

It’s been only over two weeks since the game was available, and a considerable fanbase is already playing it. After all, soccer is the most-followed sport globally, with over 3.5 billion fans. This year, the craze for the sport will reach another level when different national teams lock horns for the World Cup in Qatar.

So, it’s impossible for FIFA 23 not to do anything related to the World Cup in the game. The past FIFA titles also had modes related to the World Cup. There were rumors about a World Cup mode, but EA didn’t officially release anything. However, PlayStation 5 players recently claimed to have access to the rumored World Cup Mode Menus.

From the leaked World Cup menu, it was revealed that this particular mode would feature four options. The first was FIFA World Cup live, which might emulate the same lineup as the actual tournament’s schedule. The second mode was a Kick-Off mode, where players will choose their national team and face the national team of their choice.

Further, there would be an online mode where players will play against other. Lastly, there is a FIFA World Cup 2022 mode where players can access 48 national teams, 16 more teams than the official tournament. Maybe in this mode, players can custom-create their own World Cup from the pool of 48 teams. However, the additional 16 teams are still a mystery.

Is the leaked World Cup mode playable?

Electronic Arts have leaked the World Cup mode on PS5. However, it’s not playable at the moment. The players can only take a look at the DLC mode’s view. For now, fans might wait until November 20, when the World Cup kicks offs. Maybe then EA would give access o this mode to everyone.
