But, there has been a burning question in the community for the past couple of years. So, if you’re wondering what it is, let’s break it out. Rockstar released the Grand Theft Auto V years back, gifting fans a masterpiece. The game got a tremendous response as it gave access to a far-advanced fictional world. But as they say, every product has its expiry, fans were tired of the game. As a result, they demanded a new title, only to get rejected. This, in turn, gave rise to rumors about GTA 6, like its possible release date, locations, cosmetics, etc. But industry analysts and journalists believe that the game is nowhere to be seen for the next two years.

GTA 6 is not coming out at least for the next two years!

Popular Journalist Tom Henderson put out a tweet talking about the release of GTA 6. Here’s what he said in his June 27 post. ‘I still believe the game is releasing in 2024-2025. I’m referring to turbulent because it hasn’t been plain sailing, just like with every other game in development during COVID, etc. People leaving and what-not.’

This tweet came in after his previous one, where he said, ‘I’m assuming this dates back to my original report over a year ago, I have not had any updates on such features since and I would definitely treat this with a grain of salt. It’s just a rumor from a game in very turbulent development.’

Gaming companies have suffered a lot during Covid-19 as they had to face multiple challenges. From employees resigning to having a deficit in the required equipment, the developers went through a tough time. This heavily affected the games’ production, as they had to push them forward. Such has been the case for GTA VI, which has been in production for years. Rockstar has always commented positively about it, saying that the game would come out soon, but they have never really said anything about its release date.

What are your thoughts about this? Do you think these reasons are valid? Let us know in the comments section.
