The leaks stated that the game would include three different types of quests: the Golden Path, side missions, and class assignments.

A game reviewer Okami Games tweeted, “Side quests affect the main story and there are 100+ in the game.” It seems how a player does their side quests or which ones they do would affect the main plot.

The leaks about these quests revealed that the main story would have a directive narration. But that won’t be the case with the side quests, as they were developed with more player agency in mind. So, it will depend on players when they select those missions or how they complete them.
