

When it was first revealed that fans will see a PS5 remake of fan favorite and beloved The Last of Us, the news didn’t receive a motivating response. Many thought that it wasn’t required at all, since the game was still too fresh to get a remake version. Nevertheless, it’s almost here now, according to the latest leak. The Last of Us PS5 remake is expected to arrive later in 2022.

Trusted industry insider Tom Henderson, in one of his recent tweets, shared that PS5 remake of Naughty Dog’s TLOU is almost finished. Not just that, but it may get a 2022 release window as well.

The Last of Us PS5 remake leaks and details so far
Henderson mentioned that he’s only “heard” the news from other sources, which means it would be prudent to wait for an official confirmation. But the scooper always comes out with correct information, proved by his track record so far. And he might be accurate this time as well, in terms of The Last of Us PS5 remake.

While the entire news of a remake of the 2013 blockbuster is still unofficial, it became very clear when an early report came from Bloomberg in 2021. Since then, multiple other reports have strongly come up with more details on The Last of Us PS5 remake.
As per the claims so far, Naughty Dog, the original developer, is working on the upcoming remaster of the 2013 iconic post-apocalyptic, award-winning game. Not to mention that the studio was also behind another award-winning sequel, TLOU 2, in 2020.

What’s interesting to note here, amidst all the rumors and speculations, is that studio’s co-president, Neil Druckmann, recently revealed a massive update at the CES 2022. During the event, he said that his team is currently busy with “multiple game projects”.
