Latest Look Into Sonic Frontiers Gameplay Has Fans Immediately Draw Parallels With Breath of the Wild

Sonic Frontiers just got a small but official preview and fans cannot be more ecstatic! While some fans are simply “out of words” expressing their excitement, others have some interesting comparisons. As most of us figured by now, Sonic Frontiers will feature a beautiful open world suited to peeps who love exploring.
While most reactions focused on how promising Sonic Frontiers is, a lot of fans seem to have found a huge similarity with the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Fans were quick enough to spot the similarities, and this reportedly even got “Breath of the Wild” to trend on Twitter. The comparisons got massively hyped, with fans nicknaming the game “Sonic Breath of the Wild”.

Sonic Frontiers got its first trailer back in December at The Game Awards 2021. Since then, open-world and Sonic enthusiasts have been anticipating a release date for the exciting new Sonic The Hedgehog game.
Previous Sonic titles did feature worlds that could be explored, but none were like what Frontiers just teased! Frontiers is slated to release during the Holiday of 2022 and on major platforms: PC, Xbox, PS, and Nintendo Switch.
Sonic Frontiers just got a new preview, and fans couldn’t be happier!
The recent video teaser showed off Sonic Frontiers’ world and a tiny glimpse of what the gameplay may look like. It came with an official tweet that advises fans to stay tuned to IGN First for an exclusive cover story for more world-exclusive reveals.
Looks like Sega has planned a lot of surprises for fans this month.

In fact, Sega also bagged a slot at the upcoming Summer Game Fest event on June 9. Many fans have speculated an exclusive reveal for Sonic Frontiers, probably proper gameplay footage, at the SGF. It would be interesting to see what Sega has in store for fans!
Fans are calling Frontiers a Breath of the Wild mod!

Am I the only one that has sent too excited about this? Idk it just looks so barren. And I wasn’t a huge fan of BOTW or it’s huge world. It leads to some paranoia that I’m always missing something. I also wasn’t a huge fan of PLA. But that’s probably just me 🤷♂️
