Latest Nintendo Leaks Hint at the Much-Awaited Console Update Following Nvidia GPU Reveal

Nintendo fans are eagerly waiting for the next generation of consoles. After all, it’s been six years since the release of the current Switch. It has been one of the most successful gaming devices created by the Japanese giants. But now, it’s falling behind in the advancing technological race in the gaming industry.

Every major console company, like Microsoft and Sony, has released its latest gaming devices. However, Nintendo is yet to do so, but there have been rumors of an advanced version of the current Switch console, the Switch Pro. Although these are all rumors, the latest Nvidia GPUs might be the key to a Switch Pro.

The new Nvidia 4000-series hints at a Nintendo Switch Pro

Nvidia finally unveiled the latest 4000-series GPUs. The new series would be the successor to the two-year-old 3000-series. The whole world was hyped up for this launch. After all, Nvidia is the leading company in the GPU race. But this new GPU launch has also revived the hopes for a Switch Pro.

There have been a lot of rumors about a Switch Pro and its new System of Controller, simply SoC. Now, one might wonder what an SoC is. It’s a small chip that gets Nintendo Switch running. The current Switch uses a Tegra X1, but there were rumors that the Japanese giants are working with Tegra239 or T239.

However, the problem was there was no such technology. But now there is after the release of the latest Nvidia-4000 series, which supports T239 SoC. If true, then the rumored Switch Pro would have eight-core processors. However, the fascinating news about Nintendo having T239 would be support for ray-tracing.

That means more realistic visuals for a Nintendo fan to enjoy. Undoubtedly, it would be a massive jump for Nintendo from the current visual technology to ray tracing. However, these are all rumors, and nothing is officially said or done.

What can be the impact of a Switch Pro?

We saw Nintendo taking over the gaming market with its hybrid technology, which offered both handheld and home gaming experiences. But the console lost that advantage because of its technological limitations. But a new advanced Switch can turn the tides back in Nintendo’s favor.
