A Twitter user named RostiResetEra, in her tweet, exposed the short-term confidentiality of the new Nintendo Switch controller patent. What is interesting here to note is the date. The patent is scheduled to end on September 24, 2021, instead of March 2022.

This shift in the dates might indicate that the new controller can be officially announced on September 24, seemingly during its Direct event. However, there is no official word from Nintendo concerning this as of today.
