In the years since Call of Duty first came out, three companies primarily worked on the games. Treyarch, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer rotated responsibilities as each company worked to bring iconic titles to the table.

In a surprise move, development for Modern Warfare III is under Sledgehammer instead of Infinity Ward. This is because Sledgehammer served in assisting roles to Infinity Ward for Modern Warfare I and II.

It knows Infinity Ward’s direction with the last two games, working with the former in an assisting role. Moreover, Sledgehammer worked on Modern Warfare 3 in 2011 alongside Infinity Ward. This could be the stars aligning for Sledgehammer as they bring a conclusion to the new Modern Warfare series.

Fans of the franchise still need to be convinced about Sledgehammer’s involvement, especially since their last main title, Vanguard, disappointed after release. This could be a chance to set things right for Sledgehammer.

Fans remain hopeful for a good game from Sledgehammer

Despite the failures of Call of Duty Vanguard in 2021, fans maintain their hope in the Sledgehammer Games. With a slight hint about the villains in the new teaser, fans believe the conclusion of the series will be one of the biggest games in the franchise.

Another fan was on board, with Sledgehammer taking on proceedings. It might help to add the Infinity Ward will assist Sledgehammer with development. Regardless, this fan was pumped that the Sledgehammer Games was on the case, making a pun to celebrate their involvement.

One fan loved the entire teaser. The fan believes the teaser accomplished one important task: turning their Monday into a beautiful morning. It is a good time to start your week as a Call of Duty fan, especially if you cannot wait to see Captain John Price back in action.

The entire situation saw a lot of criticism over the decision to let Sledgehammer Games work on the new title. One fan reaffirmed their support to the developer, pledging to support them regardless of how the game turned out. It was a heartfelt moment in the gaming community as a fan came out to support their favorite developer.

With the hype train leaving the station, fans want the A.C.R. from the previous Modern Warfare III. A potent weapon, the A.C.R. was a lazar beam, gunning down enemies left, right, and center as they tried to get the M.O.A.B.

If Sledgehammer brought back a fan favorite weapon in the A.C.R., Modern Warfare III could be a big hit.
