The Yakuza series has a certain reputation amongst its fans. They know exactly what they are getting into when they start playing these games. All the quirkiness, all those crazy combos, and some really uncanny valley-like sequences give these games a very distinguishing character. They always leave fans wondering: What would the developers do next? Currently, this is exactly what fans are wondering about Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
And the developers did not disappoint either. In this upcoming action beat them up title, they have added a mode that looks very unique yet somewhat familiar to a very popular Nintendo game!

Survival games have a tendency to be very similar in a number of ways. Fans can make ledgers of similarities between two survival horror games and yet have a favorite. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is not a survival game; it still has some similarities to one. Its crafting, its way of collecting resources, and many other things make this game very similar to a survival game. And now, it appears like a dragon: infinite wealth is following in the footsteps of an animal crossing too!

Yes, a recently released trailer for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has revealed a brand-new game mode that takes a bunch of inspiration from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The trailer showcases Ichiban Kasuga maintaining his own personal tourist island. As he goes around decorating and crafting stuff, one can’t help seeing how similar it is to the latest Animal Crossing game.

Ichiban can fish in this game; he decorates the island as well as his own home with purchased stuff. Or, just like in Animal Crossing, he can also craft his own stuff. He has to make sure the visitors on his island have a good time and to make sure of that, he even has to combat some goons to maintain peace and quiet on his island. Developers have really upped the ante with this installment, for sure.

This stuff is nothing new for a Yakuza game.
While some fans might think that the developers are doing something outlandish with this game, they must not fret. This craziness has always been a part of the Yakuza series’ charm. From weird mini-games to ridiculously cartoonish combat mechanics, there’s a lot of stuff in these games that some might see as unusual, but it only adds to the charm of this series.

The game will be launching early next year for PlayStation console, Xbox, and PC. It would also be available for Xbox Game Pass owners to enjoy free of cost.
