MLB The Show 22 is being developed by San Diego Studio. The Nintendo Direct gave fans a first peek into the Switch-focused gameplay reveal for the baseball title with Ohtani in the starring role.

However, the trailer doesn’t paint a very rosy picture of the game’s visual fidelity. It is not surprising as the Switch has limited hardware capabilities when compared to the like of the PlayStation and Xbox. But the gameplay also looks choppy and seems to fluctuate. Although the trailer mention that “Game footage is not final”, which leaves room for improvement in the finished product.

Additionally, the trailer promised cross-platform progression with any platform the game is available on. And with the game set to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, the company is in for a wild ride this April.
