It’s been almost thirteen years since fans played the fan-favorite debut game from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise. Serving the fans for over 13 years, GSC Game World is again all set to release their fourth survival horror shooter game from the franchise, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. 

Following the Russia-Ukraine war, fans were concerned about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s release since the developers are Ukrainian and vowed to serve their country during these tough times. However, sources suggest that this most-awaited shooter game might release in the latter half of this year. 

Will S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl be released in December?

Well, the sources at least suggest so! Recently Germany’s Plaion store listed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl with a launch date of 1st December. Now fans are excited as this store has previously predicted the actual release dates of some titles. The leaks about the game suggested ear that the game will most likely be released on 31st December.

Now Plaion’s release date started to brew more excitement and anticipation among the players. Besides, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will also be featured at Gamescom from the 23rd to the 27th of August. At this event, players can directly experience its gameplay.

Fans have been waiting for a long to get their hands on the game. Now, with a release date, they can’t control their anticipation. After 2009’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, this upcoming title already has a strong fanbase. Although this game was delayed for long, fans are happy to see the promises made by the developers for this new title.

Some details about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl

 The gameplay narrative will feature the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, which caused many supernatural events following the mysterious explosion of the plant in 2006. This game will offer mutated beasts, who defy all scientific reasons and players have to shoot them to survive in the environment.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will feature the protagonist Skif in a survival horror-themed adventure with many powerful artifacts, helping players to get survival abilities. Players can sell these artifacts to the outer world or protect the outer world as the ex-Ukrainian military force from all the dangers lurking around the Chornobyl Zone. 

This upcoming title was initially announced in 2012 following the previous game, Call of Pripyat. It was also supposed to release in 2018. However, after many unexpected delays, it will now release both on Xbox X/S series and Windows. Are you excited?
