He further adds,  “J.R.R. Tolkien and all of his creations within Middle-earth are near and dear to our hearts, and this project presents an amazing opportunity to create new experiences born from one of the greatest stories ever told. We are pouring a lot of passion into the game to give players an unforgettable experience.”

Let’s find out more about it in this article.

Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is going to be an enthralling survival crafting game for the fans

The new game will take place in the Middle-Fourth earth’s Age and will follow the Dwarves of Moria as they attempt to recover and restore their eponymous country (also known as Khazad-dûm or Dwarrowdelf) to its former splendour. Free Range describes this title as ‘the only survival crafting game set in the Fourth Age of Middle-earth’.

Return to Moria is a game inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s writings in which you are summoned to the Misty Mountains by Lord Gimli Lockbearer. Following the War of the Ring, it follows the narrative of the Dwarves as they begin on an adventure to recapture and restore their homeland of Moria.

In other words, in addition to fighting, gamers must put their treasure-hunting abilities to the test by searching the mines for rich metals and relics. They will also utilize what they uncover to create new weapons, bases, and other items.

Gimli, the dwarf warrior who was also a prominent member of the Fellowship of the Ring in J.R.R. Tolkien’s original Lord of the Rings trilogy, will make an appearance. However, rather than being a playable character, it appears that he will be the one to gather a fresh group of Dwarves and assign them the duty of exploring their underground country. The game is currently only being developed for the PC.

The game will be available for PC via Epic Games Store in Spring 2023.
