The gaming community has always been very fascinated with the concept of crossovers and bringing characters from one game to another. And what can be more iconic than the Geralt of Rivia from the famed ‘The Witcher’ franchise, being teleported to the lands of Lost Ark?

And that’s what happened now when it was brought to light by a trailer on YouTube that Lost Ark promises just the same. But moreover, it seems that fans finally have a window on when they can expect the crossover to drop on the Western side of the world.

Lost Ark finally reveals its release date for the Witcher Crossover in the west

In one of their official trailer drop on YouTube, the South Korean MMO action role-playing game co-developed by Tripod Studio and Smilegate, Lost Ark, showed the Geralt of Rivia, aka the Witcher, show up mysteriously on a small island in the Sea of Gienah.

Notably, the crossover is already happening in South Korea and the release date for the event to officially start on the western side of the world is said to begin in January 2023. Thus making fans even more excited about the crossover.

Furthermore, the crossover will feature not just the Geralt of Rivia, but his love interests Yennefer, healer Triss, bard and friend Dandelion, and Geralt’s daughter Ciri are just a few familiar faces confirmed for the event. Character customization options, including scars, cards, stronghold buildings, emoticons, and more, have all been revealed for the event.

What else does the event have up its sleeves?

Apart from all the cosmetics and the new additions, there will be new raid options and other additional upgrades as well. Although the official site for the crossover says that any further details will be revealed in January, it is almost clear that fans have already made up their minds on what they expect from the game.

Although, it is yet not clear how Lost Ark will explain the crossover with the Witcher franchise. This is because both have totally different approaches to their gameplay and storytelling.
