It looks like Ludwig has something to say about everything that’s probably wrong with Twitch right now. As a result of which, it has recently gone through a huge departure of some of its most recognized streamers. Due to many reasons, names like Valkyrae, Disguised Toast, Sykkuno and others have found a new home on YouTube. Ludwig came up with a brief yet effective video, talking about the entire scenario.

Ludwig mentions key areas where Twitch is failing, resulting in more streamers leaving the platform
It seems like there’s nothing good happening for Twitch these days in almost all aspects. After the news of the unexpected revenue share split spread across the internet, attracting mostly negative feedback, a fresh report from Bloomberg revealed that the platform’s Creator Chief has left the company.

Per Bloomberg, Constance Knight wrote a letter to the employees of the company informing them about her new decision. Her exit comes just days after the platform revealed that it will reduce the amount of money its top creators can earn from their subscriptions.

Meanwhile, Ludwig came up with a video on what’s actually going wrong for Twitch. He revealed that while the platform has now reduced the revenue share split to 50/50, its biggest competitor, YouTube, still offers a 70/30 margin to the creators. Plus, it’s now also announced a new way of earning a profit of up to 45 percent from the Short clips; they will now be monetized.

The future seems slightly uncertain for Twitch
Furthermore, Ludwig made a comparison between the two platforms. Praising YouTube’s team, he said that they are “probably going to be around for 50 years” but “it’s harder to say the same about Twitch, much harder in fact.” Ludwig was also shocked to see that the Host feature is getting removed from Twitch, acting as another reason to frustrate many creators.

Although he emphasized the point that Twitch will retain the top spot despite ongoing obstacles. He also made a point regarding YouTube’s insanely growing impact. Especially after the introduction of the now popular Shorts.
