While it’s already known that GTA 6 is expected to feature both female and male characters, the relationship between the two hasn’t been explored yet. But the latest speculation tries to unearth the mystery of how they can be interconnected with each other in the grand scheme of things in terms of the game’s narrative.

So far, we know that the female protagonist’s name is Lucia who will be a Latina in the upcoming installment. On the other hand, Jason will be the male character of the campaign. Until now, most fans were having the idea that the two will be separate options and will be available to select at the beginning of the mission.

But it may not be the case, somehow, going by a new rumor from Okami Games on Twitter. The individual who runs the profile on social media shared crucial intel about the GTA 6 central characters.

According to the scooper, Lucia and Jason “appear to be a couple. IMO this adds an interesting dynamic to the story especially since you can switch between the two. Seems like the story is indeed inspired by Bonnie & Clyde.”

In case anyone isn’t aware of Bonnie and Clyde, the two were an infamous American criminal couple who were in the news during the era of the Great Depression. The couple was mostly known for doing bank robberies. Furthermore, they gained huge attention from the American media between 1931 and 1934. Eventually, their journey as a criminal couple came to an end, meeting a dark date.

Now the big question that arises is: will the protagonists of GTA 6 be based on Bonnie and Clyde? At the moment, there’s no clarity regarding how Rockstar Games will shape up the two characters in the campaign. Hence, one should definitely take the current rumor with a grain of salt.
