After surprising the fans with their marketing for 2023’s Call of Duty, Activision recently gave fans a first look at the game itself. A 40-second teaser was released to showcase the official logo of Modern Warfare III. However, it was only the beginning of a long promotional campaign.

Just recently, the makers, out of nowhere, updated the official channel of the action series on YouTube. Currently, there’s a new video on it, scheduled to go live in the next 24 hours. Going by the looks, it seems like Makarov (the iconic nemesis of Task Force 141) will be the focus of this video. Technically, it’s going to be a reveal trailer!

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Makarov reveal trailer is arriving in the next few hours

Makarov, the ruthless antagonist, made his initial debut in the original Modern Warfare trilogy. His anticipated comeback was already confirmed, thanks to the mid-credits scene from MWII’s single-player Campaign last year. In the scene, a mysterious figure was sitting inside a plane while communicating with someone who responded by mentioning “No Russian”. The latter is a callback to a controversial sequence in 2009’s MW2. It had Makarov wreaking havoc on innocent civilians inside an airport.

Coming back to Call of Duty Modern Warfare III, its marketing is running at full speed right now. Activision is leaving no stone unturned in creating the ‘ultimate’ hype for this year’s premium game.

The new video on Call of Duty’s official YouTube channel is set to go live on August 9. In short, it will go live in approximately 24 hours, as of this writing. One can take a look at it below.

Considering the title of the scheduled video, it has been confirmed that Makarov will be seen making his return. A recently launched brief teaser has already indicated that he will be a big threat to Task Force 141 members.
