YouTuber Fidias aka Fifi Panayiotou is a popular name in the industry. This 26-year-old streamer is famous for pulling off various public stunts, which entertain his vast followers. Not only that he rise to fame after hugging the Tesla CEO, but recently he caught the attention of Japan’s authorities. But not for a good reason!

Previously, Fidias rode Bengaluru’s metro without a ticket. And that received severe criticism on social media platforms. But that didn’t stop this streamer from following his usual way of pulling stunts. However, this time Fidias’s Japan adventure seemed to take a wrong turn!

YouTuber Fidias is under the Japanese police’s serious radar

Fidias’s X footage titled “How to Sneak Into The Indian Metro” caused a storm on the internet. Fans didn’t believe that this streamer outsmarted the authority. But they condemned his unethical behavior and some alleged that he stole from Bengaluru.

However, Fidias didn’t seem to consider that criticism. Surprised much? This is because recently, this streamer with three colleagues attempted to travel across Japan in the same manner. Yes! this YouTuber ditched tickets for traveling in Japan and tried to flee successfully when Japan’s police authority tried to arrest them.

Fidias’s Japan adventure became popular when he posted about his latest stunt on X (formerly Twitter) on the 20th of October titled ” I Travelled Across Japan For Free.” Not only that but this YouTuber stayed in the station’s restrooms in between the journeys till he reached his destination. Fidias also surprised fans when he checked into Japan’s hotels for free meals.

However, what was about to be a great challenge became a nightmare for the YouTuber.  Fidias’s actions were scrutinized by Japan’s authorities and he along with his three other colleagues are now under Japanese police fire. Not just Japan but the entire fan community seemed quite pissed off by this streamer’s unethical behavior.

Fans’ criticism leads Fidias to apologize about his recent adventure in Japan

Pulling a great publicity stunt is not new for Fidias as previously he spent months outside Elon Musk’s factory to hug him once. However, this was his other publicity gimmick. And now that he again stunned fans by traveling across Japan without a ticket, fans are utterly mad.

One fan commented- “It’s embarrassing that the reputation of all westerners has again been smeared because another clout chasing YouTuber decided to make content out of openly breaking the law. What a sad world this is.” Some of the viewers commented on how such actions are criminally charged in Japan- “Unlike the US or EU, free riding trains and buses are a serious crime in Japan. Its not a petty crime that are laughed off and dismissed.”

Throughout the thread, people seemed visibly disturbed by such unethical behavior- “Japan is definitely a tourist friendly country. Please do not abuse their kindness & politeness..” Even some of the Japanese viewers commented how this video was not at all funny. In fact, some commented on how YouTubers like Fidias establish prejudices against foreigners.

However, all these comments finally forced Fidias to drop a serious apology- “hello beautiful people i apologize to the Japanese people if we made them feel bad that was not our goal ! from now on i am going to be make more research to the cultures we go to and try to prevent this from happening again – i love you all.”

Now we can’t blame streamers for such challenges. Nowadays pulling off something unbelievable has become a trend in the streaming industry. And Fidias previously did something similar for which he wasn’t enough criticized.

However, with his recent apology, fans can feel assured that this YouTuber will definitely be more serious against such unethical behaviors. What do you think?
