As of now, Bungie is owned by PlayStation giant Sony.

Following the vast success of Destiny 2, Bungie is now eyeing something big in the field of MOBAs. Going by a new leak, it’s been claimed that the studio is already working on a MOBA project right now.

Bungie is reportedly working on Gummy Bears, a MOBA title

The studio has dominated the first-person shooter domain with major hits in recent years. All of its games are based on science fiction and fantasy worlds with a first-person perspective. But Bungie doesn’t seem to limit their potential only to one category.

That’s why it’s now eyeing a MOBA project codenamed Gummy Bears, according to a new leak. However, fans will have to wait to get an official update or announcement on this game.  That’s because it is reportedly in the early stages of development.

The rumor for Gummy Bears also gets a strong base as Bungie is actively hiring for many roles. Their recent posts suggest something is on its way in the future: “We’re hiring for something new…”, reads the text of an image posted by the developer. Well, this “something new” is rumored to be the Gummy Bears project.

Furthermore, Bungie has also revealed some exciting facts about their next major game. It looks like it will be a team-based title, inspired by fighting games, MOBAs, frog-type games and life simulators.

Unlike Bungie’s previous sci-fi settings, this title will show a comedic world. Plus, fans also expect a light-hearted gameplay. Also, it will feature colorful and cute-looking characters, according to reports.

Fans are hyped and deeply excited

With the rumors of a brand Bungie game creating a lot of buzz online, fans are now hyped up. Many of them are looking forward to the upcoming project. However, some are also a little concerned about the rumored title’s future. They believe that the Destiny studio is mainly known for gun combat games. And thus, transitioning to a different genre, like MOBA, won’t easy for its team.
