Fortnite never disappoints in surprising the hardcore fans who are passionate about the battle royale. Although there have been some really amazing skins released in recent months by the Epic Games’ developing team, their latest reveal has seemingly made players upset.

That’s because of a new character introduced in Fortnite. Coming as part of the ongoing collaboration between Epic and Marvel, a skin based on an iconic X-Men superheroine was just dropped in the item shop. However, it has failed to garner praises so far.

Marvel fans are upset with the X-23 skin and its treatment in Fortnite

Laura Kinney, aka X-23, is a fictional character who appears in the Marvel comics based on the X-Men series. While she was made as a clone of Wolverine, the latter adopted her as a daughter figure. Similar to Logan, X-23 also has retractable adamantium bone claws in her hands as well as feet.

As part of the collaboration with Marvel, Fortnite also released an X-23 skin in the game recently under a new update. The character has got a revamped costume altogether without the iconic mask from the comics. Moreover, the claws are also nowhere to be seen, which is quite strange, given her lineage with Wolverine and being an X-Men herself.

It looks like fans couldn’t accept this change with one of their most favorite comic book characters. As soon as the new skin was revealed in Fortnite, most of the players wasted no time in dropping their reactions.

Many of the social media users were shocked to see that X-23’s traditional yellow costume was replaced with a different alternative. Furthermore, fans were in complete disbelief after noticing that the gaming skin didn’t have the adamantium claws at all. Have a look at the reactions below:
