Marvel’s Avengers is a game that had real potential when it was first announced. However, after a disappointing launch, the title has only seen an average to negative response from the fans. That’s because of the lack of appealing and engaging content.

Now it seems like Square Enix and its team is trying to make sure that Marvel’s Avengers stays afloat. To fulfill this objective, it just revealed a mighty update to the game, in the form of a new superhero. Well, not absolutely new but just another version of an iconic character, Thor. However, it looks like the players are already done with this game and its journey so far.

Mighty Thor update in Marvel’s Avengers fails to impress the fans

Marvel Studios’ is coming with this iteration of Thor in the upcoming film starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman next month. PlayStation recently reminded the fans to go for the newest, free update in Marvel’s Avengers, with Mighty Thor. Jane Foster’s character will be seen flying, summoning the Mjolnir and fighting against the enemies in her own style. After the Hawkeye in 2021, it’s the second time Square Enix is revealing two versions of the same character.

Sadly, this mighty update has mostly failed to excite the gaming lovers. On the social media, most of the users expressed a disappointment to this news. That’s because many of them believe the title is not worth it anymore. And that no one plays it that much anymore, whatsoever.

Another reason for such a reaction is that fans had high hopes from the developing team to make it a great superhero project. But the lack of proper expansions and continuous reveals of character skins has spread negative impression across the community.

One frustrated and disinterested user wrote: “People still play that game? No joke, really asking.”
