In one of its recent tweets, the official account of Marvel’s Avengers shared the news of an exciting event ahead. Most importantly, players will get to take on the role of Jane Foster, The Mighty Thor who’s about to enter the Square Enix title, soon!

Marvel Studios recently dropped the first teaser trailer from the awaited MCU movie, Thor: Love and Thunder. The upcoming movie stars Chris Hemsworth as the Odinson and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. The actress is returning to the cinematic universe after almost nine years. She was last seen in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World.

With the fourth installment in the God of Thunder’s franchise, Natalie’s character of Jane will take a huge leap forward. This time, she will be the one becoming worthy to lift the Mjolnir, thus transforming into The Mighty Thor.

Keeping this in mind, developers of Marvel’s Avengers, as they usually do, also revealed a new major event in the game. Basically, patch 2.4 is coming in May, having tons of system improvements and diversified rewards. There will be unit rewards for a lot of other event missions as well.

On top of that, another crucial Update 2.5 will make it soon, which will eventually bring Jane Foster as The Mighty Thor in Marvel’s Avengers. Most probably it will line up with the MCU movie’s release, which is currently set for July 8th, 2022.

Meanwhile, the gaming fans, especially the comic book lovers of Jane Foster’s iteration of Thor, were quick to drop their reactions to this reveal. Most of them were rejoiced upon knowing that she will finally arrive as a playable character.

Marvel’s Avengers is now available for the following platforms: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox one, and PC.
