Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 takes over Toronto Downtown’s 3D billboard

In a truly spectacular fashion, an ad for Spider-Man 2 has been playing on a massive billboard in Toronto. People passing through Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square can witness the 3D feature.

PlayStation Canada’s official X (formerly Twitter) page posted a clip of the 3D animation showing both web slingers as well as Venom fighting through the streets of New York City. The animation features the underarm webs or webbed wings used for gliding. And as they’re gliding, they’re ambushed by Venom. And in the end, Venom pops his head right at the screen with the 3d effect making it look like he’s coming out! And in typical Venom fashion, he sticks out his tongue. This is before both Parker and Miles come onto the screen.

Parker’s Spider-Man featured his mechanical arms, much like the arms from the iron spider suit. Meanwhile, the animation gave a glimpse of Miles’ bio-electricity. The difference from the Miles Morales games, though, is that in this game the color of the electricity is blue.

This is not the first time this animation has made it to the billboards. Marvel Games recently shared a similar post of the 3d animation on billboards in New York and LA.

While the devs have clearly gone big for promoting the upcoming title, fans would be wrong to think this is it. Apart from live-action 3D commercials, they have actually been busy, and have done a lot more!

In another instance, fans spotted a Volkswagen Corrado in Kuala Lampur during the early days of promotion. It was designed to look like it had been webbed up by the wall crawler. And behind it was an LED board promoting this action-adventure game.

Sony also announced an exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man 2-themed PS5 bundle. The console and the controller both have the Spider-Man logo, while the color is red and black, showing the symbiote taking over.
