The never-ending debate of the ‘best Peter Parker/ Spider-Man’ has been spiced up thanks to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The highly awaited superhero action adventure arrived on PlayStation 5 on October 20 as an exclusive, and it hasn’t moved off the spotlight ever since. Besides all the innovations in the game, it might have just introduced the best version of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man as well. At least this is what many players are starting to believe.

Over the years, the character of Peter Parker has established a hardcore fan base of his own. And Insomniac Games did a huge service to all webheads out there with their Spider-Man franchise. However, there is a long list of different iterations Peter Parker/Spidey. And looking back, picking a winner is not easy. However, many gamers are convinced Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has the best version.

From Sony Pictures to Disney Studios, there have been plenty of attempts to pull off the best representation of the comic book superstar. A character that has resonated with the world on so many levels always leaves the fans with a feeling that something missing. Fortunately, this missing piece seems to have been cracked by the creators of the latest PlayStation exclusive. Apparently, Insomniac Games is the winner of the contest!

Let’s remember that the list of actors who have portrayed the wall crawler is an incredibly long and super talented one which includes Tobey Maguire, widely regarded as the OG since his version popularized the character on the big screen, Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland, Chris Pine, Drake Bell, Christopher Daniel Barnes and more.

Apart from convincing visuals and graphics, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 works on many other attributes. The highlight, however, has been the unique take on narrative and character development of not just Peter Parker but Nadji Jeter’s Miles Morales. As a game, this new sequel attempts to bring every possible element fans have rooted for in the chaos of New York.
