The latest installment in Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man franchise made it to the 90s on Metacritic and sold 2.5 million units within 24 hours. And yet, the game has seen several users getting annoyed with it. It’s happening due to an inevitable bug. Now, it’s got to a point where fans are not having it.

The PS5 exclusive was released on October 20 and has received a lot of love already. Players are praising the game for its design, details, and what not. Web slinging has never looked better and the fact that players can also glide thanks to the winged suit has made traversal that much more fun and interesting. However, the bugs are affecting the overall immersive experience of the players and they want Spider-Man 2 devs to address them. Even if it means filing an online petition!

Petition from fans urges Insomniac to fix game crashes in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Many users who have tried to fire up their PS5 to enjoy Spider-Man 2 have been met with a game-breaking situation. They can’t get past a crash, which is occurring most of the time when they are opening the game.

Currently, there’s a petition filed by some fans online. It’s been started by an individual named Alex Barbosa. While sharing their frustration regarding the game, they wrote that the PS5 exclusive needs an effective fix. Further, they explained how the experience is being hampered by the error code CE-108255-1.

“We understand that no game is perfect, but we believe in the capacity of Insomniac Games and PlayStation to rectify these problems. We call on them to investigate these issues thoroughly, provide timely updates about their progress, and ultimately deliver a solution so we can enjoy Spider-Man 2 without any interruptions,” read the petition on Change.org website. As of this writing, it has amassed over 70 signatures against a target of 100.

Below is one instance of the bugs spotted in Spider-Man 2.

Obviously, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 players are not happy with such an experience. Hence, some of them have now actually went ahead by taking a crucial step in order to make the devs aware about the seriousness of the situation.

What other issues have been there in Spider-Man 2?

Just a few days ago, players also had a problem with a particular graphics setting. It appeared that leaving the option of Film Grain enabled was causing chaos for the users. Basically, having it turned up above the value of 5 was resulting in poor textures during the gameplay.

Moreover, another situation that occurred was regarding the installation. According to many PS5 players, Spider-Man 2’s disc was getting stuck after completing 36 percent of installation. Beyond that, it wasn’t proceeding due to weird reasons. What’s even worse was that there was no known fix available for this problem when the users reported it.

However, a developer as big as Insomniac games will surely be working tirelessly to fix these issues. After all, they wouldn’t want something like bugs to hamper what is otherwise one of the biggest superhero games ever made. There was another instance where instead of a Puerto Rico flag, there was a Cuba flag. However, Insomniac Games took responsibility and corrected it with their latest patch.

So while bugs are hampering the gameplay experience of many players, surely the developers will be vigilant. Hopefully, they will release another patch update soon to fix these bugs.
