Nintendo has some of the best video games in its basket, and the credit should all go to the minds of the developers to make it successful. One of those minds belongs to the legendary director Masahiro Sakurai, the man behind creating most of the Nintendo games of the modern era.

But now fans will miss his presence on Twitter as he has recently uploaded his last image of the famous Smash Ultimate screenshots on August 23, 2022. This has led fans to a disheartening end to almost two and a half years of constant uploads and many memorable images from the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gameplay.

On August 1st, 2022 (JST) he posted a tweet saying, “Posting daily Smash Ultimate screens has been part of my workday ritual for a while now…but it’s looking like I’ll run out sometime in August. ”

Now he has uploaded a post finally ending it by writing, “This concludes the daily Smash Ultimate screens I’ve been posting since Dec. 2019. Thank you for your support! “

Although it was very sad to realize this might be his last upload regarding the game, fans were given hope when he said that he might try something else now. He said, “However…I’ve been thinking about starting something new. (This time it won’t be daily, though.)”

What did fans feel about the last upload?

Regardless of being sad, fans only had respect and well wishes for the legendary director in their hearts. Most of them were cheering Sakurai up because of his contribution to the gaming industry and Nintendo.

Others were trying to stay positive by sharing their favorite screenshots from his uploads. This included characters from the Smash Bros franchise’s Pit, Mario, and many more. It can also be noted that Sakurai has uploaded one screenshot per day for 2 years and 8 months in approx, as he started uploading them in December 2019.
