Then another significant change he noticed was that the new PlayStation 5 had a complete makeover regarding the cooling system. It had a much smaller heat sink compared to the older ones. Moreover, the heat pipes didn’t have much covering this time.

The CFI-1200 had a smaller motherboard than the previous two models. It is one of the crucial parts that can drastically affect a device’s pricing. In this way, they avoid losing performance while decreasing the expense of making a console. If this new PlayStation 5 model costs less to build, compared to the older ones, then selling it at the current raised price will help Sony gain a significant profit.
