Xbox has been in constant search of ways to conquer the console markets as they aim to become the kingmakers. However, with the strong competitions in the market, they have always found it hard to reach the top. A prime example of this is their sales growth compared to Sony’s PlayStation, where the company is always on the verge of crossing its opponents. But, sadly, because of some reason or the other, they stop at a certain limit.

Looking at this, Microsoft has decided to add a massive update concerning their next-gen console, the Xbox series S. The update calls out every developer that makes games for this console. With this, Microsoft hopes to see a massive change for them in the markets.

Microsoft calls out Xbox developers hoping to change things

The graphics and performance of video games are two sides of the same coin. While the developers aim to provide a top-class gaming experience, fans always hope for good graphics. However, Xbox suffered from this on a larger scale, as its game developers limited their games to specific settings. It affected their games’ overall experience, as users complained of not receiving top performance.

Looking at this, Microsoft decided on a new strategy to improve it once and for all. The franchise stressed on the Xbox Series S, as they mentioned some massive changes in the coming time. They specifically called out all game developers to develop games at higher graphics and performance, as they knew their console could do much better.

“Hundreds of additional megabytes of memory are now available to Xbox Series S developers,” the team said in the video. “This gives developers more control over memory, which can improve graphics performance in memory-constrained conditions.”

It was just a matter of time before the update got fans’ attention. They had a mixed reaction as they spoke about some other issues, which they considered much more important. Here’s what they said.

Some facts about the Microsoft-owned console!

Microsoft dropped the Xbox Series S in 2020 for a $299 introductory price. The next-gen console supported 1440p gaming at 120fps but failed to reach its peak due to memory constraints. In fact, most games limited themselves to 1080p, despite running at a higher FPS.

Apart from this, the Xbox series S only runs at 10GB RAM, out of which Microsoft has reserved 2GB for operating system tasks. As a result, its game developers had to limit themselves during production to develop the best result under these limitations.

But with the green signal from Microsoft in their recent video, developers are aiming to transform their games into better versions. As of now, there’s nothing much we can do except wait, as Xbox’s recent update can become their game changer.
