Microsoft Shows Off Immense Pride in Xbox Sales Growth Despite Global Supply Issues

Thanks to the rise in the sales of the latest series of Xbox, Microsoft just managed to capture a healthy market share for two consecutive quarters. It was recently revealed that in terms of gaming business, the company generated huge revenue for a non-holiday quarter.

As per the fresh report, Microsoft’s gaming revenue increased by six percent year-over-year to an impressive $3.7 billion. Not to mention that Xbox Series X|S contributed significantly to this amazing outcome.

The console war between Microsoft and Sony has grown extensively in the last few years. Previously it was the PlayStation mostly ending up having the last laugh, but things have now changed drastically.

Although the PlayStation 5 is still selling well (when it’s in stocks), the new line-up of Xbox has actually witnessed a massive jump in its sales. The growth has been consistent, to say the least when compared to the past performance results.

According to VGC, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella recently mentioned that the Xbox Series X|S consoles have played a key role in making them grab a global market share. The information was revealed during the company’s third-quarter earnings call.

“With our Xbox Series X and S consoles, we have taken share globally for two quarters in a row,” the CEO said.

Furthermore, he also told that the company has emerged as the market leader in the United States, Canada, the UK, and western Europe.

The next generation of Xbox witnessed massive sales last month, creating a new record in the US. Plus, it performed very well in the United Kingdom also compared to a month before in February.

Meanwhile, the latest series of Microsoft gaming devices have tons of blockbusters to offer to their users. Hits like Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and Deathloop are already available for those who want to try them.

Anticipated exclusives including the likes of Bethesda’s Starfield, are also coming out later in 2022.
