Minecraft YouTuber Dream Reveals His Parents “Called the Cops on Him” When He Was 16 Years Old

There have been many renowned YouTubers in recent years who have made their mark globally. However, some of them have achieved a higher popularity due to their distinctive ways of creating content. Minecraft player Dream is definitely a person who falls in the latter category.

Having a mysterious identity has helped him gain an astronomical amount of success online. Only once he’s revealed his true face when everyone got to see the man behind the iconic mask for the first time. As of now, it’s not certain when the fans will witness him lifting up the mask in the future again. Interestingly, though, the YouTuber just made an appearance in an interview to have a deep conversation on various topics. During the interaction, he also ended up unveiling a shocking incident from his life as a teenager.

Colin and Samir are quite popular on the internet due to their show in which they invite celebrities from different fields. This time, the hosts had none other than Clay aka Dream himself. The latter was present on their show to talk about everything he’s experienced in his life so far. Simply put, it was an unfiltered conversation – and it truly was.

The hosts asked him a lot of questions regarding the reason for hiding his face behind a mask. Moreover, they were also eager to know what actually made him unveil the face eventually when he really did it few months ago. However, there was one thing even the hosts weren’t expecting to learn from Dream. The moment occurred when he told them about his tough experiences of growing up as a teenager.

When asked about his schooling years, the YouTuber had an unexpected answer. He told that despite being a book nerd, he hated school and believed that there was no need to go to school everyday. Furthermore, he revealed that there came a time when he had a big battle with his parents when he was 16 years old. He wanted to go to an online school but they didn’t agree with him. Eventually, he stopped attending his school classes permanently.

“I just stopped going to school. I actually got arrested for a truancy for not going to school”, he told Colin and Samir. For those who are not aware, truancy is an intentional, unjustified, or illegal absence from attending compulsory education in school. In other words, it is a deliberate absence by a student’s free will.

While talking more about this incident, he told that his parents were the ones who initially called the cops because he was not going to school. Plus, he was also charged for resisting arrest since he refused to open the door when the cops arrived and told him to go to school.

Remembering this unpleasant incident, Dream said that “some of my creativity actually, generally spawns from the fact that there was this, like this ongoing battle between me and my parents for so long”.
