“Missing the Lighting”: Fans React to a Hilarious ‘DC Crossover’ in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Marvel is known for its crossovers, but Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 might have pulled off an impossible DC cameo! Well, at least the fans would like to believe so. Amidst the heroics of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, an NPC has grabbed some strong attention from the webheads. Apparently, this NPC also has some superpowers that are quite identical to a hero from DC! This big “crossover” involves a hilarious twist, but for the fans, it’s nothing short of entertainment.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been enjoying a strong limelight post its release on October 20. As promised, game has has indeed turned out to be one of the finest superhero games ever made. From exciting easter eggs to heartwarming side missions, the game is the perefect recipe for a superhero action adventure. And while the game is only facing the minor issue of bugs, one bug has turned out to be a blessing in disguise. 

Flash survives an accident, thanks to the superhero duo in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

In a clip going viral, fans couldn’t help noticing an NPC character that running like Flash moments after surviving an unfortunate accident. As seen in the video after Peter Parker and Miles Morales have rescued a bus, Peter says, “Get somewhere safe as soon as you can.” One of the passengers takes the advice too seriously and speeds away like the scarlet speedster.

Obviously, this NPC turning into a spring runner is one of the glitches in the game. The character is from the DC universe and just making a visit to enjoy the heroics of the Spider-Man duo in New York seems like a long shot. Considering all the efforts Insomniac Games has made to make their latest project a comic book masterpiece, some fans might still root for a theory like this, and justifiably so. However, marvel has its own speedster too. Quicksilver?

Even the gameplay glitch was enough to invite some hilarious reactions from gaming enthusiasts who were looking forward to such fascinating theories. 

Fans are delighted with the ‘unintentional collaboration’

Although the fans are aware that this happened due to a technical error, they didn’t want to give up on the Flash theory. So, carrying on with the idea, they came up with their witty responses.
A user thinks it happened because of Peter’s advice of “getting somewhere safe as soon as possible”. Well, the NPC did the best they could! 

Another user feels the disguised superhero had to head back to his own city to help some people in need. 

A fan believes this sprint hints the NPC is late for an important meeting. 

Another user agrees with the Flash theory but feels some lightning effects could have just added fun to the sequence.
