There are only a couple of days remaining in the grand release of the next Call of Duty offering. Activision’s major premium title in Modern Warfare II is set to continue the story from its 2019 predecessor.

So it’s obvious that many fans will be curious to know everything that will be offered in the upcoming Call of Duty. Hence, now is the perfect time to get well-versed with what to expect from Modern Warfare II in terms of its campaign, the storyline, missions, and all the characters.

Story and locations in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II 2022 Campaign

As it is clear from the trailers so far, the main plot of the upcoming Modern Warfare II entry will feature Task Force 141 attempting to take down a drug cartel. The latter is known by the name of Las Alamas. Players will see themselves going to different locations, ranging from Mexico to the Middle East.

2009’s original MW2 also featured similar setting where the Task Force 141 chased down a big target in Rio de Janeiro. Moreover, apart from the Campaign, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will also have a fresh multiplayer and a new DMZ mode. These will be unveiled in-depth afterwards.

Modern Warfare II Campaign missions and maps

Thanks to the leaks that have surfaced so far, before the official release, we now have the intel on the upcoming missions in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. Here are all the expected missions that players will get to play upon the launch:

  • Border
  • Convoy Chase
  • Gunship
  • Intercept
  • Marina
  • Montage
  • Nightwar
  • Party
  • Prison
  • Shadowbase
  • ShipAF
  • Stolen
  • Strike
  • Tower
  • Wounded

It’s important to note that all the aforementioned mission names are not actual. For example, ShipAF is Operation Dark Water. But the given names do reflect what content the missions may contain.

Going by the Modern Warfare II Open Beta phase, one can say that the Campaign for the game will feature great maps as well. Players will get the chance to fight the enemies in maps like Farm 18 and Breenbergh Hotel among others.

Who are the characters in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Campaign?

So far, it is known that Captain Price, Gaz, and Farah will be the returning faces in the awaited sequel. However, there are even more characters who will be appearing in Modern Warfare II. Here is the list of all the names of actors who will be voicing the most iconic as well as new characters:

It’s expected that more characters will also appear once the game fully launches. Because the Multiplayer will include a lot of Operators. Interestingly, some fan favorite names like Mara (portrayed by Alex Zedra) might also comeback. It’s not officially revealed but her return seems very much likely.
