On September 28, the official CoD Twitter announced that they have achieved a massive feat! The Open Beta for Modern Warfare 2 has broken all the records of previous CoD betas and this one has garnered the most player, the most hours played, and the most matches played.
Through the tweet, the team said, “Thank you #CallOfDuty players! Together you’ve made the #ModernWarfare2 Beta the biggest Call of Duty Beta ever” thanking the players for making such a grand feat a reality. They are truly grateful for the amazing reception that the game received. But that’s not it! The team teased the players by saying, “And we’re only getting started, prepare for Campaign Early Access, and the global launch on Oct. 28th,” implying much more is about to come after the official release on October 28.

What is next for MW 2?
After the conclusion of the beta of Modern Warfare 2, the devs could not be happier! The game beta broke all the previous records, making it the most successful CoD beta ever. So celebrating such an occasion and giving back to the players who made it all possible, the team revealed some new information about what is yet to come after the official release.

A post was made on the official CoD site. At first, the post thanked the players for this amazing feat, then it teased the players with the promise of more new content for the game after the official release on October 28.
They promised the players new content by saying, “This was only a slice of all the new content coming in Modern Warfare II when it launches this fall.” The post had some other information about the release of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0, so we would recommend checking out the official post.
