The newly appointed CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk is making some brand new changes to the global platform of Twitter. In the last few days, Musk has been giving some updates regarding the upcoming changes to the platform’s new creator-friendly environment, allowing influencers and content creators to earn revenue from the platform.

With his recent promise, many have started to believe that Musk is putting his efforts to fight the current giant of the industry, YouTube. He promises to offer a model that will be much more rewarding and open for the influencers and creators. To have the best idea of the scene, Musk has been seen interacting with some of the biggest influencers in the world, including MrBeast.

Elon Musk talks about rewarding talent on his platform

On February 3, Musk tweeted that the platform will start sharing revenue with creators. He said, “Starting today, Twitter will share ad revenue with creators for ads that appear in their reply threads”. Unlike Twitch and YouTube, Twitter will monetize the ads that appear in the comments section rather than the content itself.

Previously Musk had been taking notes from the big dogs of the online content creation industry. Among them, the most notable one is MrBeast. Beast is currently the most influential creator on YouTube and he had been giving some advice to the Billionaire for the past few months.

Even in the recent announcement, MrBeast expressed his thoughts. On January 4, a user shared a meme expressing that soon Elon Musk will be taking over YouTube. As the meme went viral, it caught the eyes of the man himself. In the replies, Musk said, “More to come on this front. Twitter needs to be where a creator is most highly rewarded for their time & talent.”

Kick.com’s non-owner advisor reacts to Elon’s plans

Elon’s plans for making a much more profitable platform for the creators attracted a lot of attention from the influencer community. Among them, the non-owner advisor of Kick.com and Twitch streamer, Trainwreck couldn’t help himself but insinuate that Musk has been trying to imitate the platform’s plans. 

In the replies, Trainwreck said, “sounds like you’ve been reading my streaming platform update tweets”. Train’s Kick.com has been through a lot of heat and controversies after the identity of their stakeholders were revealed to be a gambling site called “Stake”.
