However, that is not all the Kameo system brings. Sure, the chance to use a Kameo character to help you out of a sore spot is always nice, but Netherrealm has a second, hidden feature that the Kameo system brings. This one makes you stronger and improves your stats!

Mortal Kombat 1 offers an interesting opportunity for players. The Kameo system in the game lets players increase their overall health by using the stats of the characters that are selected. The Netherrealm’s lead quality assistance analyst Stephanie Brownback went on to reveal on X, formerly known as Twitter. The feature has the potential to make each fight players take on different.

According to Brownback, the way this works is it takes into consideration the roster character as well as the Kameo character. As fans may already know, MK1 will have the Kameo feature, where fighters they choose make small contributions in the fight, with quick attacks. The feature is quite handy in getting players out of a sore spot with the opponent. The way to boost one’s health is by looking at the health stats of both characters you choose.

In this case, Brownback used Shao Kahn and Jax as examples. Both are virtually tanks when it comes to their health. Taking this combination would result in a boost to your health in the fight. Could this feature have different applications, such as enhancing other stats?
