MrBeast, although being the most celebrated YouTube creator of the generation had a tough time adjusting to college. This story, although not new to long-time fans, had another aspect to it. According to a podcast with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, the millionaire YouTube opened up about how his mother reacted to him when he told her that he was going to make YouTube videos. And how her comments came back to MrBeast, but as a blessing.

In the Podcast, MrBeast talked about his passion for YouTube and how he used to skip school to make videos for 15 hours or so without even knowing if it will actually pay him back or not. Thus, when he actually started earning money, he told his mother about his dream of being a YouTuber and this actually made her a lot uncomfortable.

MrBeast reveals how his mother reacted to his YouTube dream

During the Podcast, MrBeast explained how he was never in favor of going to school and hated the fact that he had to listen to the lectures of teachers gaining nothing in the process. Thus he used to sit in his car and make YouTube videos using his elder brother’s old laptop and when he finally started making some money, he told his mother about his dream.

He said in the podcast, “I came home and I was like yeah I haven’t been going to college and I moved out the next day. My mom almost had a heart attack because she didn’t understand YouTube or anything back then. And she was like, man this guy’s gonna work at McDonald’s. I wasted all this time like I invested 18 years and this is what I get.”

Notably, it was his passion and passion alone for YouTube that he was able to prove his mother wrong and finally made her proud of him. Talking about how she reacts now to him, MrBeast said, “She’s great. She’s happy. She loves it, you know, put her in front of her friends, she loves talking about it.”

Why did MrBeast’s mother’s comment become a blessing for him?

The fact that MrBeast’s mother thought that he will work in McDonald’s tells a lot about how she thought not getting proper education might affect her child. Although, after years of persistence and dedication toward his dream, MrBeast was finally able to open his own Burger franchise, now known as the “MrBeast Burger“.
