MrBeast, a.k.a Jimmy Donaldson, is YouTube’s man of the hour after crossing the huge 100-million milestone last week! It was obvious that he would celebrate his feat by doing what he does best, that is, creating more A-class content. In fact, he went on to gift one of his lucky subscribers a luxurious piece of land in the middle of the ocean!

Being the philanthropist and expensive stunts expert as he is, MrBeast invited 100 of his subscribers to compete in a life-changing challenge. The prize was a huge private island. In fact, the island has complimentary golf carts, a swimming pool, and a lot of land to go creative with.

MrBeast was the first independent YouTube creator after PewDiePie to cross the massive 100 million mark. It is, indeed, a well-deserved achievement. He also opened the box to his 100 million YouTube Play Button, in the video. As he opened his Play Button for the first time, MrBeast described it as ‘the decade of my life represented in one item’.

MrBeast and his quirky ideas for a challenge

The first challenge that MrBeast threw at the contestants was to light up a fire. While some were able to complete the challenge sooner than expected, others struggled quite a bit. The first 50 to light up a fire got the chance to move on to the second round.

Every fan knows how incredibly successful MrBeast’s Squid Game recreation video was. To everyone’s pleasant surprise, he brought back an iconic challenge from the Squid Game Challenge, named ‘Red Light, Green Light’. It was a difficult challenge for many as they struggled to keep their balance, trying to get to the finishing line. 20 contestants surpassed this challenge to move on to the third challenge.

But before challenge 3, MrBeast gave his 100,000,000th subscriber a chance to eliminate half of the 20 contestants. As uncomfortable as she was, she had to do so!

Next, the third challenge put the remaining contestants on a situation of luck. Everyone had to choose and stand on top of a plank with the ocean beneath them. The planks were attached to the boat with a rope, and some of them would fall if the rope was cut. As we can decipher, the contestants who fall into the ocean would face elimination.

After the third challenge, MrBeast offered the remaining five people a cheque of $50,000 each. However, if they accepted the cheque, they would have to leave the competition for the island. To MrBeast’s surprise, every one of them burnt their cheques, as they chose to fight for the big prize.

Lastly, for the fourth and the final challenge, MrBeast hid his 100 million YouTube Play Button somewhere in the private island, which was up for grabs. The contestants had to locate the same to win the island. And, as it happens, his 29,900,000th subscriber won the huge and beautiful island by locating the Play Button after a long struggle.
