MrBeast was reached out by Dora Muno with a TikTok video on the condition of a village in Zambia. Upon seeing this, MrBeast was fast to respond by sending Darren to help out the community there. The people in the village lived in extreme conditions without any access to food, water, or electricity. Dora highlighted the safety concerns for children navigating in darkness due to the lack of lighting and high crime rates in the area.

Dora mentioned how she left her life in the city and relocated to Mapapa village. She then adopted four children, aiming to build a safer environment for more kids. She explained how basic infrastructure, like the mud hut school, faced setbacks during the rainy season. This is when MrBeast stepped in with the help of GivePower to set up a solar grid to illuminate the village. The installation of the solar grid brought light to the village, eliminating the dangers of navigating in darkness and improving the children’s living conditions.

With electricity in place, attention turned to water shortages. The village faced a severe lack of clean and quality water. The existing water pump supplied only 30 minutes of water per day. This water served a community of 350 children and 84 staff members. Darren and MrBeast tackled this issue by conducting a hydrological study. Their study aimed to understand the area’s water resources, including groundwater sources and water quality. The decision to dig a deep well stemmed from the findings of the hydrological study. This well would provide a reliable and continuous source of clean water for the community.

Additionally, an electric water heater and a commercial gas stove were installed in the community kitchen to improve food preparation and nutrition. These additions would significantly improve the quality of meals prepared for the children and staff.

MrBeast’s organization, along with Dora Muno, worked to rescue and support 350 children in the village. They provided the children with a good education and regular meals, addressing their immediate needs and offering them a better lifestyle.

They emphasized continued efforts to sustain and expand support for the village through philanthropic donations and partnerships. The video appeals for support via donations or by purchasing electric bikes from a sponsor to fund more projects. Lectric eBike, a long-term partner of B-Philanthropy, generously contributed to the project, doubling their donation to help more people.
