MrBeast Has the Popcorn Ready As Kick Welcomes Chess Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura As First of the Six ‘Big’ Signings

The streaming bizz is at the pinnacle of competition at the moment. Now it’s not just the streamers who are fighting for viewership. The streaming platforms are having a go at each other, and the prominent race that we are witnessing now is between Twitch and Kick. The latter has garnered much attention at the moment and it seems like they are aiming to increase their numbers by introducing prominent new partners.

The latest addition to the list is the popular Chess grandmaster, and this has piqued the interest of the biggest content creator in the World, MrBeast.

Kick catches the attention of MrBeast through their latest signing

Jimmy Donaldson has become the face of content creation in the past couple of years. The star is not that much into streaming, but he always has shown interest in watching popular streams. Though Twitch was dominating the streaming scene in recent times, they started facing rivalry from Kick.

Kick is spearheaded by Trainwreckstv and they have been spotlighting the news recently. The lack of moderation and unique revenue sharing has caught the eye of the world. The platform now is on the run to sign popular creators to the platform. First, it was Adin Ross, now Hikaru Nakamura joined the Kick family.

The five-time US chess champion is finding a new home on Kick. And this has piqued the interest of the internet, including Jimmy Donaldson himself.

Nakamura already has a very active YouTube channel with more than 1.85 million subscribers. But the highlight lies in regard to his previous home. That is, before joining Kick, the Misfits Gaming content creator was very much active on Twitch. He has more than 1.8 million followers there as well.

He had his last stream on the platform around half a month ago, and the reason why he did not stream for more than 16 days is revealed now. According to Kick’s official Twitter handle, the five-time US champion will mark his Kick debut this Wednesday at 11 AM EST.

This unique signing not only caught the attention of MrBeast but was followed by some sarcastic comments from fans as well. Fans were asking the king of YouTube to join the infamous streaming platform.

But Jimmy most probably would not consider joining Kick or any other streaming platform in general, as his prime focus lies with YouTube and content creation.
