YouTube sensation, Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, is the talk out of the town after acquiring 90 million subscribers on YouTube. With over 91.4 million subscribers on the red platform currently, MrBeast is extremely close to hitting the 9-digit milestone on the red platform. However, one of the most successful videos on YouTube by MrBeast is undoubtedly the real-life Squid Game recreation.

The Netflix series was rendered suitable for YouTube by MrBeast and his team. MrBeast gathered 456 people (just like the actual series) with whooping prize money of 456,000$ for the “last person standing.” Above all, millions of people appreciated the video worldwide. How did MrBeast select 456 people for his Squid Game video?

Recently Jimmy appeared in “The Joe Rogan” show where he reveals how he managed to recruit 456 people for this video. While talking about the entire procedure, MrBeast went on to say, “I literally just hired a casting director and usually we just get like large amounts of people. They filter through. We are just looking for like people A. Do they need it like do they actually need this help? Will it benefit their life?”

He continued, “Obviously, they can’t be super-rich. It’s literally just like put a camera in front of them and do they freeze up. That’s it I just can’t have people freezing up because that just like I don’t know it’s just not content.” Furthermore, he also explained that the contestants met MrBeast first time while filming only.

Furthermore, Jimmy also highlighted the point that the initial budget for Squid Game was supposed to be only 2 million dollars, but somehow turned out to cost over 4 million dollars.

Other than this, while talking about his YouTube future plans, Jimmy pointed out that he wants to be on YouTube for at least 10 more years.
