Videos created by MrBeast are one of the most watched content in the world right now. With most of his videos hitting 50 million views on average, he seems unstoppable. But it was not the case a few years back.

In 2018, when MrBeast was trying to get subscribers by making videos like “Saying Logan Paul 100,000 Times” he wouldn’t have thought that his YouTube career might die with just one wrong move. Fortunately, it didn’t happen because of a few mobile games. Here’s how.

MrBeast’s manager saves his dying career

In a recent interview by Colin and Samir, MrBeast’s manager Reed tells the whole story of how a bullet almost killed MrBeast’s career. During the interview, Reed said that his biggest hit was a video by the title “Can 50000 magnets stop a bullet” which, according to him, was an instant “Banger”.

But to everyone’s surprise, most of the advertising agencies were against the idea and didn’t want to sponsor MrBeast. Reed explained why this was the case. He said“Most people were like, ‘whoa! gun no way.'”

He then further added that he wanted to support MrBeast in making his videos, so he asked Jimmy to change his approach. He said, “I talked about it a lot in the early days. Like we got to stop the gun stuff, but that was what’s interesting.”

Telling about how he pulled MrBeast out of the mess, Reed said, “I couldn’t convince big advertising agencies to even touch it. So it became like World of Tanks and all these random mobile games that thankfully sponsored videos. Because of then, we got to just pull off crazy stuff early on.”

How did World of Tanks and Honey save MrBeast?

During the interview, Reed said, “If it wasn’t for those mobile games, I don’t know if we would have got brand deals in the first two years. It was so difficult. It wouldn’t have been Honey, but that’s it.” This actually implies that MrBeast wouldn’t have gotten any big sponsors if the small investors wouldn’t help him make the videos that he desired to make.

After this, MrBeast and Reed became business partners, which gave Jimmy the freedom to make videos as he liked and not to take any stress about money.
