Multi-Millionaire Fortnite Player Ninja Revolts Against Twitch, Asks Creators To Reclaim Their “Power”

The backlash against Twitch‘s policy changes doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. In the latest show of protest against the purple platform, streamer Ninja called out content creators to take back their power. The prominent Fortnite streamer took to social media to once again threw a targeted uppercut towards Twitch saying their “tone deaf” policies are only hurting the platform itself.

In a recent tweet, the multi-millionaire Fortnite player took another jab at Twitch reiterating his opinion on the latter’s TOS banning multi-casting. Amidst controversies, Ninja also hinted that he may step over to Kick for streaming in the near future.

Following the policy change announcement by the streaming platform Twitch, an immediate uproar of disapproval shook the internet. Direct assault by some of the biggest Twitch streamers saw many of the proposed changes be ultimately rolled back. However, some changes have survived the omissions and look to be implemented in the not-so-distant future.

Although the Twitch star had revealed at the end of last year that he would not be renewing his collaboration with Twitch, he also did mention that he would be instead streaming on every possible platform that allows streaming. However, with the new Terms of Services (TOS) of Twitch banning multi-casting on “Twitch-like” platforms, the Fortnite streamer hinted at leaving the former for good.

After Twitch announced last year that the platform would allow non-partners to multi-cast, they suddenly backtracked on their steps and recently announced multiple policy changes including new regulations on branded content as well as new TOS. While backlash from streamers like MrBeast and Ludwig made the company revoke their proposed changes on sponsored content, the TOS looked to provide the best experience to the community.

Ninja says creators should be given the power

Multi-casting on Twitch has been now banned, seemingly with the aim of improving broadcast quality. This means that streamers cannot simultaneously stream their videos on platforms like Twitch, Facebook and YouTube all at once. Ninja, the frequent YouTuber did not take to the implications of the new TOS lightly and lashed out suggesting “…it’s time we give the power back to the creators“.

Ninja also mentions that the new changes would not only hurt the content creators on Twitch but would also negatively impact the platform itself. The blue-haired streamer also mentioned that he viewed exclusive deals between a streamer and Twitch to be understandable for such restrictions, but a carpet ban is simply unacceptable.
