Call of Duty fans have been enjoying the latest title from Activision in Modern Warfare II for quite some time now. The recently released Season 2 update has finally made them engage in this premium entry. Thanks to the increased fun factor, most of the players seem to be happy with the ongoing content available in the blockbuster installment. But soon they will receive something even bigger for the Multiplayer experience.

Recently, the makers teased a brand new, original map for MWII. Himmelmatt Expo is set to arrive with the upcoming Season 2 Reloaded –  a mid-season surprise. The devs recently dropped major details regarding this additional, core MP map for the existing setup. So now is the best time to gather all the necessary intel before dropping into this fresh area.

What is Himmelmatt Expo in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II?

This area is a scenic winter getaway, located at an exclusive mountain resort in Switzerland. Obviously, it’s going to be a core 6v6 map to serve modes like Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy. It’s a medium to large-sized Multiplayer map where “Operators will navigate through the main event center and its neighboring amenities, which include the Pool, Sauna, and an upscale Restaurant”.

The map will be available in the featured Playlists for Season 2 Reloaded and also the Quickplay map rotation pool. Here’s everything to know about the upcoming area in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II:

Spawn Point (KorTac): For this faction, the team of players will spawn on the southern tip – Roundabout. Players will also get to see the welcome messages in different languages.

Spawn Point (SpecGru): Players from this specific faction will spawn on the north side of the Street. From here, they can either continue towards North Hall or come down through the Roundabout to the Pool, Sauna, and Restaurant.

Outside of the spawn zones, Himmelmatt Expo consists of four main areas namely the Event Center (Congress Hall), Main Roads, Restaurant, and Pool & Sauna. Whether someone is a recruit, veteran, or highly skilled individual, the map caters to all styles. Players will be able to utilize all the zones according to their tactics and strategies. But here are the top tips to keep in mind in order to master this map:

• Play more matches in order to get an understanding of the Himmelmatt Expo.
• When outside, try to run across large open spaces to decrease the amount of time when being without cover.
• Work on seasonal Camo challenges by playing more matches on this map.
• Utilize tactical equipment like Snapshot Grenade in order to get additional information before rushing in tight places like the theater or Restaurant.
• Use the killstreaks with perfect timing without wasting them.

Modern Warfare II’s Season 2 Reloaded update drops on March 15th, 2023. The game is now available worldwide on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
