The YouTube SuperStar Jimmy Donaldson a.k.a MrBeast once again makes a positive change in the world with his massive fame and resources. Recently, a struggling restaurant owner shared how getting featured in a MrBeast video saved her business. Not only did she gain an exponential amount of exposure, but also a huge cash prize from the YouTuber. 

Kimberly Nguyen is a home-taught chef who started a food business when she was “8 months pregnant.” Initially, she started a taco business from her home back in Honolulu, Hawaii. With hard work and incredible food quality, they managed to soon branch out and own 2 food trucks. MrBeast gave a shoutout to Kimberly Nguyen’s restaurant

One Day, famous TikTok personality Keith Lee walked into Kim’s restaurant and made a review of some of her items on his TikTok account. This changed her life for good. Due to Keith’s review, Kimberly Nguyen’s soon got to collaborate with YouTube’s biggest independent YouTuber, MrBeast. 

During Late January Keith had been working on a collaboration series with MrBeast. There he was tasked with bringing some of the best food for MrBeast to taste. For one of his episodes, he selected Kimberly’s menu for the collaboration. Jimmy and Keith both tried Kim’s cooking on TikTok and reviewed it.

“Jimmy’s team flew me, my husband, and our business manager, Andrea, out to North Carolina, where he lives, so we could film with him and Keith. We were asked to cook some of our tacos in a makeshift kitchen near his studio so they could both try it on camera and rate the food out of 10 in a TikTok video,” said Kimberly Nguyen.

Cooking for internet celebrities felt “surreal” according to Kim. However, meeting Keith and Jimmy was also a great experience for her as they were “kind and genuine”, especially Jimmy, who was “surprisingly quiet and nervous, considering how big of a celebrity he is.” 

After tasting her food, Jimmy and Keith gave her hearty praise, and in a classic MrBeast fashion, he presented Kim with a briefcase filled with cash, which had the sum of $10,000. “The cash in the briefcase was only prop money, but he did wire us the amount after we finished filming.”
