According to MrBeast, one of his key abilities is to look directly at the camera while recording a video as if he is talking to a real person. He shared with Lex, that he is able to achieve this by using his imagination and thinking about the people who will be watching the video. He is able to look directly into the lens and make eye contact with his audience, making them feel like he is talking directly to them.

MrBeast discussed how he developed the skill of imagining his video beforehand over the years. He has been making videos for over a decade, and during this time, he has had the opportunity to experiment with different camera angles, lighting, and shot compositions. He’s also had the opportunity to interact with different types of audiences and learn what works best for connecting with them.

Lex also asked MrBeast about his unique style of storytelling. MrBeast responded that his videos are known for their humor, relatability, and emotional impact. He is able to use the camera to tell a story, rather than just film an event. By doing so, he is able to capture the attention of his audience and hold it for the duration of the video.

“Yes, it’s a habit because my whole life I’ve just been talking to a camera,” MrBeast said. “It’s weird when I’m looking at the camera, I don’t see a camera. I’m like in a haze, picturing what the viewer is seeing when they watch it. Yeah that makes sense and that’s where I’ll be saying things and/or doing something, and then like when I’m watching I’m like that’s not what I want and then I’ll freeze up. It’s very weird when I’m filming and then for people who haven’t worked with me too much they’ll think like, I don’t know it’s very weird.”
